Staff Advisory July 30, 2009

Attention: All MCCNO Employees

We are monitoring Tropical Storm Gustav and its potential threat to New Orleans. At this time, all employees will report to work Friday as usual. In the event the City calls for a mandatory evacuation, please be advised of the following information:

• Follow the evacuation plans that are outlined by your parish government.

• The New Orleans Morial Convention Center will not be open as a shelter to employees and their families, except for those specific employees who have been designated as Essential Employees.

• The New Orleans Morial Convention Center will not be open as a shelter to the public. The Mayor’s City Assisted Evacuation Plan calls for busses to pick up residents at designated locations throughout the city and transport them to evacuation facilities around the state.

• During the evacuation, call the Human Resources Emergency Information number at
1-877-706-2266 (877-70-MCCNO) for latest updates about returning to work.

• After the August 29 pay day, those who currently receive their paychecks via direct deposit will have their pay deposited electronically to their account as usual on the next pay day, September 12.

• Those who receive paper checks, please contact HR to update your emergency contact info if you will be evacuating outside of the New Orleans area and will not be available to pick up your check.
